Schering "underperform"

LONDON, January 5 (newratings.com) - Analyst Isabella Zinck of HVB maintains her "underperform" rating on Schering AG (SH-EUR). The target price is set to €59.

In a research note published this morning, the analyst mentions that the company has announced that it has received the FDA approval for Climara Pro in the US for the treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis. Climara Pro was earlier approved by the FDA in November 2003 for the treatment of moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms related to menopause, the analyst says. The recent approval for the additional indication is likely to have a limited impact on the sales of the drug, HVB adds.
