DJ MARKET TALK: Sanofi's Plavix "At Risk" Launch Priced In

1457 GMT [Dow Jones] An eventual "at risk" launch of Sanofi-Aventis' (SNY) Plavix copies by Apotex would expose the Canadian drugmaker's business to a major financial risk if a court ruling was to find the drug patent was infringed, says Aurel Leven analyst Jerome Berton. Notes it would be more reasonable for Apotex to wait for the court's decision. An eventual generic launch would impact Sanofi's EUR 93 target price by EUR5.5, however this risk has been priced in given the EUR6 the stock has lost since last week. Trades -3% at EUR70.95.
