DJ MARKET TALK: Sanofi Would Benefit Most From Plavix Recall
08/25/06 - Dow Jones Newswires
0801 GMT [Dow Jones] Sanofi-Aventis' (SNY) price is likely to respond well to the granting of an injunction stopping the sale of generic Plavix, but more so if it is accompanied by a stock recall, which would push the price to EUR75, says Credit Suisse. In the event the injunction is denied, the stock trading range may be locked below EUR70, reflecting the destruction of the Plavix franchise and the increased reliance on riskier products, such as Acomplia and Lovenox. Shares trade -0.5% at EUR69.65. (EXB)
