Hewlett-Packard board yet to decide chairperson Dunn’s fate

09/08/06 - newratings.com

NEW YORK, September 8 (newratings.com) – Hewlett-Packard Co (HPQ) Friday announced that Patricia Dunn would not be resigning as chairperson of the company.

The Palo Alto-based company said it was still to decide on the fate of its chairperson, following the criminal investigation into Dunn’s role in an investigation to plug boardroom leaks to reporters. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, Dunn said that she was "appalled" to learn of the reporters' involvement. Dunn would submit her resignation as both chairperson and board member if requested by her fellow board members, Hewlett-Packard added. The company’s spokesman Ryan Donovan stated that its board is scheduled to hold a special telephonic meeting over this weekend to discuss the matter.
