WestJet Airlines "buy"

NEW YORK, October 6 (newratings.com) - Analyst Jacques Kavafian of Research Capital issues a "buy" rating on WestJet Airlines Ltd (WJATSX). The target price is set to $16.50.

In a research note published this morning, the analyst mentions that the company has announced robust traffic for September, which was above the expectations. WestJet Airlines’ load factor in the month rose to 75.2% from 70.9% in the previous year, pointing towards higher operating margins, the analyst says. The recent decline in oil prices is likely to have a positive impact on the company’s earnings going forward, Research Capital adds.
