DJ MARKET TALK: Novartis Diabetes Drug Galvus In Focus

1245 GMT [Dow Jones] FDA will decide this month whether to grant marketing approval for Novartis' (NVS) diabetes drug Galvus. This is "a crucial approval for Novartis, but widely expected to be granted," says Citigroup. If approval comes through, this would represent a small positive for Novartis. However, it would be a significant negative if there was a delay and only an approvable letter issued, Citigroup says. Shares trade +0.4% at CHF76.30. (AAG)
