LONDON, January 2 (newratings.com) – India’s Jet Airways Tuesday said that it will buy ten aircraft from US-based aircraft manufacturing giant Boeing (BA), as part of its international expansion plans.
In a statement to the Bombay Stock Exchange, Jet Airways said that it has signed an agreement with the US company to purchase 10 Boeing 787-8 series aircraft. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals, Jet Airways added. The aircraft are scheduled for delivery during July 2011 and December 2012. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed. The deal provides Jet Airways an option to substitute other models of Boeing’s aircraft.
