LONDON, July 5 (newratings.com) - Renault SA (RNO) Thursday announced a 3.8% decline in its first-half vehicle sales.
The second-largest French car maker said new registrations globally declined to 1.27 million vehicles in the six months, from 1.32 million in the year-ago period. Renault's European sales were down 9.1%, while non-European sales grew 10%. The company said the launch of two new models, New Twingo and New Laguna, would boost sales in the second half of the year. Renault had earlier announced that it would introduce 20 new and updated models by the end of 2009.
