Peugeot Citroen 1H sales flat

LONDON, July 6 (newratings.com) - PSA Peugeot Citroen SA (PEU) Friday announced flat sales for the first half.

The second-largest car maker in Europe said registrations for cars and light trucks
in the six-month period stood at 1.76 million. The company added that the sales of assembled vehicles rose 1.7%, with international sales up 7%, and domestic sales remaining flat year-over-year. PSA Peugeot Citroen witnessed pressure from Japanese car makers on account of the weak yen. The company said it expects continued improvement this year based on demand for new models, as well as older ones.
