Pfizer "overweight"

NEW YORK, July 13 (newratings.com) - Analysts at Morgan Stanley reiterate their "overweight" rating on Pfizer (PFE). The target price is set to $32.

In a research note published this morning, the analysts mention that the company is expected to post its 2Q EPS at $0.45, ahead of the consensus. Pfizer’s revenues and margins for the quarter are expected to have been adversely affected by the withdrawal of Bextra and generic competition for the company’s Neurontin, Accupril and Diflucan drugs, the analysts say. Easy comps for Lipitor and Norvasc are expected to partially offset stiff generic competition for Neurontin, Accupril, and Accupril.
