NEW YORK, September 1 (newratings.com) - Analyst Mitch Kummetz of DA Davidson reiterates his "buy" rating on American Eagle Outfitters Inc (AEOS). The 12-18 month target price is set to $38.

In a research note published this morning, the analyst mentions that the company reported its August consolidated same-store sales ahead of the estimates and the consensus. American Eagle Outfitters witnessed robust sales in its denim, shorts, knits, and women’s hoodies categories during the month, the analyst says. The company’s CFO, Laura Weil, has resigned and her responsibilities would be handled by SVP-Finance, Joan Hilson, and Controller, Jim O’Donnell, until a suitable replacement is found, DA Davidson adds.
