Adventrx to initiate trials of potential cancer drug

NEW YORK, December 27 (newratings.com) – Adventrx Pharmaceuticals (ANX) Tuesday announced that the US FDA has accepted its investigational drug application for a potential cancer treatment.

Adventrx Pharmaceuticals said that it will now initiate trials to show that its ANX-530 drug works in the same manner as an existing anti-cancer agent, Navelbine, approved to fight non-small cell lung cancer. The company also said that it will initiate the trials in January and is likely to file a new drug application by the end of 2007.
