Myriad Genetics starts third Phase-2 trial of Azixa

NEW YORK, August 16 (newratings.com) - Myriad Genetics Inc (MYGN) Thursday announced that it has started the third Phase 2 trial of its cancer drug, Azixa.

The pharmaceutical company said that the current drug trial is meant for patients with non-small-cell lung cancer that has spread to the brain. The earlier two Phase 2 trials were meant for studying primary brain cancer and melanoma that had spread to the brain, the company said. Myriad Genetics added that the current trial is aimed at determining the safety profile of Azixa and the drug’s ability to improve survivability of patients with non-small-cell lung cancer.
