Pfizer "strong buy"

NEW YORK, October 8 (New Ratings) – Analysts at SG Cowen reiterate their "strong buy" rating on Pfizer (PFE).

In a research note published this morning, the analysts mention that Warner Lambert’s Lipitor patent formulation limits the possibility of any patent challenges. The SG Cowen patent forum states that the company’s Lipitor patent is "airtight." If Pfizer’s Lipitor patent is retained, it is likely to post healthy growth through 2007, the analysts believe.
