NEW YORK, March 14 (newratings.com) - Analyst Keith Bachman of Banc of America Securities maintains his "buy" rating on Apple Computer (AAPL). The target price is set to $48.

In a research note published this morning, the analyst mentions that Apple Computer's Mac Mini product portfolio is likely to significantly strengthen the company's market share and distribution channels in the long term. Apple Computer's would witness substantial opportunities for market share gains in the forthcoming quarters through third-party channels, without employing much capital, Banc of America Securities believes.
