Sanofi Aventis "buy"

LONDON, September 13 (newratings.com) - Analysts at Dryden Financial maintain their "buy" rating on Sanofi Aventis (SAN2-EUR).

In a research note published this morning, the analysts mention that the company has signed a contract with Prasco, a US-based private company, to market the generic version of its anti-allergic drug, Allegra. Sanofi Aventis has signed this deal to compete with the alliance formed by Teva and Barr to market their version of Allegra, the analysts say. According to Dryden Financial, the company has initiated legal action against the alliance, but does not expect to be successful.
