Akamai Technologies initiated with "buy"

NEW YORK, September 7 (newratings.com) - Analyst John Mark Duncan of Pacific Growth Equities initiates coverage of Akamai Technologies Inc (AKAM) with a "buy" rating.

In a research note published yesterday, the analyst mentions that the company is strategically well positioned in the dynamic content delivery network (CDN) market, with around 75% market share. The CDN market is expected to witness 40% growth in 2006, a trend that is likely to continue in the forthcoming years, the analyst says. Akamai Technologies’ share price is expected to appreciate going forward, given the company's leading market position and robust industry growth, Pacific Growth Equities adds.
