NEW YORK, September 12 (newratings.com) - Analyst Mark J Rowen of Prudential Financial maintains his "overweight" rating on eBay Inc (EBAY). The target price is set to $40.

In a research note published yesterday, the analyst mentions that the listings at the company’s core US site rose 10.2% y/y in the week ended September 8. Listings at eBay’s UK site are likely to have risen by 83.4% y/y during the week, benefiting from the 5p listings promotion, the analyst says. The company’s global listings quarter-to-date are tracking ahead of the estimates, Prudential Financial adds.
