Genus "buy," target price raised

LONDON, January 2 (newratings.com) - Analyst Charles Hall of Panmure Gordon maintains his "buy" rating on Genus Plc (GBE). The target price has been raised from 570p to 600p.

In a research note published this morning, the analyst mentions that the company possesses substantial scale benefits, in view of its position as the market leader in two of the primary animal breeding segments. The analyst expects the anticipated full listing of Genus in 2007 to act as a catalyst for the company's stock.
