Santarus initiated with "buy"

NEW YORK, March 6 (newratings.com) - Analyst Shiv Kapoor of Montgomery & Co initiates coverage of Santarus Inc (SNTS) with a "buy" rating. The target price is set to $10.

In a research note published this morning, the analyst mentions that on account of its competitive pricing, superior efficacy and managed care wins in the proton pump inhibitors market, the company’s acid reflux drug, Zegerid, is expanding its market share. Zegerid is expected to surpass the 2012 sales estimate of $443 million, the analyst says. According to Montgomery & Co, the company is expected to break even before the targeted goal of 2H08.
