TASER wins product liability case

NEW YORK, October 9 (newratings.com) - TASER International, Inc (TASR) Tuesday announced that a US court has dismissed a product liability suit against the company.

The maker of electronic safety devices said that the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana ruled that TASER’s stun gun did not result in the death of Darvel Smith at the hands of a Louisiana State Police trooper. TASER International said that the current case is the fifty ninth wrongful death or injury lawsuit that has been dismissed or has gone in favour of the company. The number also includes a small number of settlements, the company added.
