BRUSSELS, Belgium, November 19 /PRNewswire/ -- At the invitation of the E.C.H., which represents 33
homeopathic doctors' associations in 24 European countries, ten
internationally renowned university professors in the field of research met
in Brussels for a 3 day meeting starting on Friday November 12th 2004.
The results of the research studies conducted by these
university professors are all in accord with one another - namely, that there
is clear evidence for the effectiveness of homeopathy. There is sufficient
reason for further research.
The professors expressed their amazement at the lack of
response from the health authorities to these convincing results.
Concerning research in veterinary practice, even if the number
of studies is still not sufficient, homeopathy is of real economical interest
concerning the demand of homeopathic treatment for farming. Beside,
homeopathic remedies are the only ones allowed for organic farming (European
Authorities). Bonamin (Universidade Paulista - Sao Paulo)
Concerning clinical research, studies on quality of life and
comparison between efficiency and cost, clearly show the interest for
homeopathy. However some conventional studies in double blind have also been
published and show the efficiency of homeopathy. Walach (University Freiburg)
Concerning basic research, it started well before clinical
research. What is important is to understand the action of homeopathy. The
publication of these studies has led to the conclusion that high potencies
have effects that can be reproduced. According to these results, there is no
doubt about the specific action of homeopathic remedies. Cambar (Dean Faculty
of Pharmacy, University Bordeaux II).
A specific model has held the attention of searchers, the last
past ten years. It is the model of basophile de-granulation by histamine.
These studies reproduced several times, have finally been recognised by the
international scientific community. Prof. Marcel Roberfroid (Toxicologist),
Jean Cumps (Statistics) (Catholic University of Louvain).
It is possible at this day to notice that there is specific
<<information>> of the initial remedy in high homeopathic potencies. Rey
(Geneva).
If molecular pharmacology is not able to give an explanation
about the different functions of the living organisms (notably immunology and
hormonology) it is because the notion of molecule can not explain everything.
Informational pharmacology will permit not only to understand the action of
homeopathy, but also a great number of other natural functions that have no
explanation to date. Bastide (Immunologist - University Montpellier).
